The greatest asset of our campsite in Serre Chevalier and Briançon is its setting! In the 4 hectare park, delicately laid out along the Durance, grassed and planted with larch, pine and birch trees, you will feel a natural zenitude, a feeling of softness and comfort that should instantly make you forget the worries of everyday life. The atmosphere is naturally simple, friendly and relaxed.
The setting and the atmosphere
With family, friends, lovers, colleagues or even alone, everyone has their own way of spending a holiday… and because everyone has the right to spend a Détent’Tonique holiday at l’Iscle de Prelles, 5 minutes from Briançon, in the heart of Serre Chevalier and the Pays des Ecrins, we try to cater for all tastes and all budgets:
- 48 large pitches are waiting for your tent, your van or camper, your caravan or even any other unusual vehicle for a camping stay in Briançon.
- 40 accommodations, chalets with all comforts, mobile homes or unusual cabins open their doors to you, some in summer and others in winter, in a campsite in Serre Chevalier.
- A “village” with 22 pitches dedicated to residents, who enjoy the joys of camping in the Hautes Alpes all year round.
Don’t look for the huge water park, the 4 themed restaurants, the disco or the brand new gym… it’s not the house style!
No fuss between us, we have a large heated swimming pool which is more than enough for young and old to have fun or to relax, a single snack bar which offers a simple menu with a focus on local products, and as for the disco… respect for others being one of our essential values, at the Iscle de Prelles campsite, at 10pm, shhhh, your neighbour may be planning to get up early tomorrow morning…

In the children’s kingdom, everything is done to ensure that they have fun… in complete safety…
The campsite is entirely fenced in. Children can enjoy the playground and trampoline, as well as practising table football and mini-golf. They can go cycling or look after the chickens. Or have an ice cream between a dip in the pool and a trip to the library… After all, freedom is what makes children happy… And parents’ happiness? The joy of their children and the peace and quiet…
Not forgetting the mini club for 4-10 year olds and the campfire for 11-17 year olds…

Here again, we try to be simple and efficient!
Fresh bread every morning in July and August. Wifi throughout the campsite. A convivial area with communal barbecues. Laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer in clean sanitary facilities with hot water. Charging points for electric vehicles. Selective sorting and composting… Everything you need to enjoy your stay without losing sight of our environmental values.
And of course, at reception, we’ll tell you all about our region and its sumptuous valleys…
sNACK – bAR ?
The convivial place par excellence. Considered as the centre of the village, the campsite’s snack bar is the meeting point of all positive energies!
For an ice cream, a drink or dinner, to take stock of the day’s escapades or to prepare for the next day, the snack bar awaits you in July and August with a simple menu of home cooked local products… Miam !
It’s under the snack tent that we meet late afternoon on Sunday for the welcome drink. And let’s not forget our special evenings…

I forgot! Our friends the animals are of course allowed… provided of course that they are up to date with their vaccinations and that they are kept on a lead in the campsite. At the reception you will meet Oxo, our dog, who, if he wasn’t already a campsite keeper, could successfully start calinotherapy!

We are a genuine campsite and welcome:

How big is the campsite?
We are a human-scale campsite. With 110 pitches, we can accommodate up to 350–400 happy holidaymakers in a 4-hectare wooded park with 1 heated swimming pool, 2 pétanque courts, 1 communal barbecue area, a playground and, of course, a snack bar with terrace.
What activities are available at the campsite?
L’Iscle de Prelles is neither a water park nor an amusement park. We offer a variety of activities, always with simplicity in mind. You can dive into the large heated swimming pool. You can play pétanque or mini golf. You can let off steam in the playground and ball court… You can enjoy yourself in the communal barbecue area or at the snack bar…
What is planned for the children?
Children will make friends by attending the kids’ club or the teenagers’ campfire…
They will have fun at the swimming pool and enjoy a pancake for afternoon tea… They will play mini golf, use the playground and ball court, trampoline, table tennis, games library, table football…
Children are kings… so I haven’t forgotten about Wi-Fi throughout the campsite!
What services are offered?
A range of essential services to make your stay more comfortable. Clean sanitary facilities and hot water are a given. All year round, there is a laundry room, barbecue area, charging stations, recycling bins, and a small grocery shop at reception with all the advice you need to enjoy the region. In summer, fresh bread and pastries are available every morning…
What's happening at the snack bar?
The snack bar is open in July and August.
-> For afternoon tea : ice cream and homemade pancakes.
-> For dinner : a simple menu of homemade dishes made with mainly fresh, local produce.
-> One barbecue evening and one dinner concert evening per week.
-> Welcome drinks every Sunday evening…
Are dogs permitted?
Yes, of course, we accept all pets. We even have a dog ourselves, Oxo, whom you are bound to meet at the campsite reception. As long as they are kept on a lead and have an up-to-date vaccination certificate, your dog or cat can stay with you on a pitch or in rental accommodation.
What does the Wi-Fi say?
Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite, on all pitches, in all rental accommodation, in the sanitary facilities, at the swimming pool, and of course at the snack bar, the communal barbecue area, the pétanque courts, etc. From reception to the furthest pitch, Wi-Fi is everywhere.
What are your commitments to responsible tourism?
That’s quite a programme! The best thing to do is to read the page dedicated to our environmental commitments.
But to sum up, we can say that we are doing our best in three areas that we consider to be key: local consumption, mobility and waste treatment.
