Services you can’t live without
Offering you pleasant pitches and comfortable accommodation is already a good thing! But we are not just an accommodation provider… so with us, your Détent’Tonique stay is understood to include “services”…
Services for short and long stays
Whether it’s for 1 or a few nights because you are travelling through Briançon, or for 1 or several weeks because you have chosen the Camping de l’Iscle de Prelles (a very good choice, and I would even say, a very wise choice! )) as your base camp to discover the 5 valleys that radiate around the Pays des Ecrins, the Serre Chevalier Valley and the Clarée Valley, you can expect, in addition to activities for the whole family, certain services from a 3-star family campsite.

Every morning in July and August we serve freshly baked bread and pastries, we can make you a coffee or tea, and if you insist, we can provide fruit juice, butter and jam for a complete breakfast…
The snack bar opens every day at 3.30pm.

Wifi, banned by some, essential for others… Teenagers will be able to keep in touch with their tribes, adults will be able to prepare the next day’s programme, the little ones will be able to watch Tchoupi or Dora the Explorer in streaming: Yes, we have wifi, and yes, it transmits throughout the campsite… Having said that, 4G en 5G is already working quite well.

There are 2 washing machines and 1 tumble dryer in the campsite laundry, in the main sanitary block.
By the way, there’s a tradition at campsites, and certainly at Iscle de Prelles: it’s the men who do the washing up and the laundry…

At reception we rent fridges, bicycles, baby kits and towel kits. We sell bed linen kits.
You’ll also find a first-aid shop, cold drinks, postcards and even maps and guides for your hikes.
And if you’re missing something, we’ll do our best to find it for you!

There are 4 sanitary blocks spread throughout the campsite: 1 is almost new, the other 3 are older, but they have 2 points in common: they are clean and the water is hot… There is a baby area with a bathtub and a changing table, and a cabin for People with Reduced Mobility that complies with current standards. Moreover, all our facilities, except the swimming pool, are accessible to PRM.

Electric vehicle charging points. It seems that electric vehicles are the future of the car! I doubt it! But the fact is that there are more and more electric vehicles on the road…
So, because it’s dangerous to charge your vehicle at a campsite socket, there’s a charging point waiting for you in the car park…

Communal barbecues area
The communal barbecues are part of an area that is designed to be a place for holidaymakers to share. Mixed groups are one of the reasons for the campsite’s existence, so this area is ideal for getting together and enjoying moments of conviviality between campers.
Here, communal barbecues are combined with a petanque court and wooden tables protected by a stretch tent to great effect…

Selective sorting and composting
Waste management is a major issue on a daily basis. For responsible tourism, we’re doing our bit with a waste collection area that offers compost bins in addition to selective sorting and the collection of bulky items.
To see all our eco-responsible commitments, follow the guide…
Specific services
A few cases taken at random:
- 1 cyclist arrives for 1 night, he has just done the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier and the Col du Lautaret, and tomorrow he will leave for the Izoard.
- 1 couple of hikers also arrive for 1 night, they are doing the GR5 and are totally exhausted.
- 1 group of bikers arrives for 2 nights, they ride down the Route des Grandes Alpes and, because it’s just great, decide to make a diversion to discover the Pays des Ecrins on their bikes.
- 1 group of climbing friends arrive for 1 week, their objective is to test themselves at each of the climbing sites in the Hautes Alpes.
