Don’t expect permanent entertainment at the Iscle de Prelles family campsite! We’re a simple, quiet campsite… But at the snack bar during the summer school holidays, we do allow ourselves some special evenings, with a very clear theme: 100% local, 100% Hautes Alpes…
Tasting evenings
At least once a week during the summer, at the campsite snack bar, forget about the menu. It’s a unique menu… a tasting menu… a menu specially designed for your taste buds… made up exclusively of local products… exclusively from the mountains… Mussels and chips evenings or paëllas evenings are therefore excluded from the campsite!
To combine the pleasure of the senses with responsible consumption, the easiest way is to eat locally.
“Boites Chaudes” evenings
The ‘Boite chaude des Hautes Alpes®’ is the name of the cheese, from the Hautes Alpes, as its name suggests! You’re maybe familiar with its industrial equivalent, the Mont d’Or.
The Boite chaude des Hautes Alpes is therefore served runny after a spell in the oven, accompanied by potatoes, salad and an assortment of local charcuterie.
It’s a real treat…
barbecue evenings
Even before your taste buds are satisfied, it’s your olfactory senses that will be called upon… It will be I, your humble servant, who will grill the various elements that will make up your tasting of local meats.
Beef, pork, veal… in all cases, they will have been reared and processed in the Hautes Alpes… And as accompaniments, the famous chips made with beef fat and, of course, a salad to help with your waistline…
Aperitifs - dinners - concerts
Let’s not get carried away, this isn’t a disco party! The idea is more of an aperitif-dinner-concert. A local band, of course, starts playing during the aperitif and then plays throughout the meal, right through to the after-dinner drink. Musical styles can be eclectic…
Of course, you don’t have to eat to attend the concert. In fact, there is no general obligation to consume.
But if you do choose to dine, concert evenings are the chef’s evenings… The chef has carte blanche to concoct a unique dish for you. As you’ve probably guessed, the only constraint is that the dish must be made from local produce… Surpriiiiiiise! And you can also enjoy our pizzas…

Major sporting and cultural events are broadcast on a big screen…

It’s hard to be more precise, because by definition special evenings… are special!
But we promise that we’ll tell you all about it when you arrive at reception and at the welcome drink… Just as we’ll tell you about all the services and activities available both in our family campsite on a human scale and in the surrounding area, in Briançon, in the Pays des Ecrins, in the Clarée valley and of course in the Serre Chevalier valley. And if you’re coming with children… we’ll tell you all about the kingdom of children…
