Our human-sized campsite in Briançon is open almost all year round. But the swimming pool isn’t open in winter. And the shuttle bus to the ski slopes doesn’t run in summer… So to find your way around, follow the guide… and the calendar of services and activities at the Iscle de Prelles campsite.
For your holidays in the Hautes Alpes, in Briançon, in the Pays des Ecrins or in the Serre Chevalier and Clarée valleys, as well as a simple, friendly atmosphere, we offer you, depending on the season, a whole range of services and a cocktail of activities to do on the campsite.
Let's get the worst out of the way...
When it comes to holidays, the worst thing is to have to cancel them, because life is sometimes full of unforeseen events! If conditions require it, to be able to cancel your holiday in the best possible conditions, we can only encourage you to take out cancellation insurance.
Especially as this insurance also covers you during your stay. If your vehicle breaks down. A health problem with your pet. Or even water damage to your main residence!
And now the best part... The great taste of holidays...
Activities from spring onwards…
… As the snow leaves the campsite.
Most outdoor activities are affected. That goes for pétanque, of course. The courts are not covered, and it’s more complicated to play on a snow-covered pétanque court. For the same reasons, mini-golf and the children’s play area are only accessible from spring onwards.
The communal barbecues are accessible fairly quickly from the end of winter. On the other hand, we set up the picnic tables and especially the tent at the beginning of May.
Specific activities and services…
The large swimming pool is heated from mid-May until mid-September. Generally, when the weather is fine and warm, the pool is uncovered. But when the weather’s not so nice or warm, the pool stays covered to make the most of it… Until mid-June, the pool is only open in the afternoons, then all day, from 10am to 8pm! During the summer school holidays, there’s aquagym every Tuesday, for a tonic wake up… Water temperature? 29°C…

SEE THE SWIMMING POOL
The snack bar is open from late June to early September. It generally opens on the last Saturday in June and closes on the first Sunday in September. This depends on the weather and the number of visitors. The bar opens at 3.30pm, starting with a snack of crêpes and ice creams. Then it’s on to the aperitif. Then, at 7pm, the kitchen opens to serve simple, homemade dishes made with mainly local produce…
During the high season, the snack bar sometimes hosts special evenings. And every Sunday at 6pm, the snack tent is the place to be for the welcome drink, a convivial moment during which we tell you all about the campsite, introduce you to our activity partners, and then get to know each other over a regional speciality and the Cocktail de l’Iscle®, an exclusive cocktail that tells our story…
Also in July and August, for breakfast, fresh bread, pastries or just a coffee, the reception takes on a bakery atmosphere from 7.30 every morning. Please note that you need to order the day before, and the artisan baker in the hamlet of Prelles delivers every morning…
SEE THe snack BAR SEE THE BAKERY
The mini club welcomes children aged 4 to 10 during the school summer holidays. Play, learn, build, dress up, dance… We even have water fights… From Monday to Friday, 10.30am to midday. And every morning, it’s the children who feed the chickens…
The teen campfire is every Sunday, just after the welcome drink. For teenagers aged 11 and over. They light a crackling fire on the banks of the Durance, 50m from the campsite, where they can play games, roast marshmallows and, above all, get to know each other.

Services open all the year
Of course, by definition, the reception is open throughout our opening period, from the Christmas holidays to the end of September. However, opening times vary according to the season. But the important thing to remember is that if you need us, we’re never far away…
All year round, you can hire a fridge for your pitch or buy bedding kits for your accommodation. All year round, we have baby kits available, complete with high chair and cot.
The sanitary facilities are of course open all year round. At least the main bathroom is heated for winter stays. The water is hot all year round!
You can use the washing machines and tumble dryer at any time. The PRM toilets and the baby area are also accessible all year round.
I’d also like to mention the wifi, which is available all year round, and the rubbish bins, which is open 24/7. As are the electric vehicle charging points.
Note that there is a variation for the games room with table football and the library: accessible all year round, but not heated in winter!
